ABOUT ABOUT

You are invited to join WBEZ's Jerome McDonnell, Nari Safavi (WORLDVIEW) and Theatre Y in an exclusive opportunity to engage the early stages of their most ambitious work yet:  a devised, durational, and immersive production inspired by our walk on the Camino de Santiago (a thousand year old, 500-mile pilgrimage to "the end of the world").  You will get to see a world-travelled performance by two dancer-choreographers from Serbia (Denes Döbrei and Heni Varga), participate in a devised writing exercise (led by dramaturg Evan Hill), and witness the evolution of their earliest physical experiments.  We hope to include you in a lively discussion about the ideas the company is exploring, and for the chance to chat with their artists as well as our always interesting patrons.
We have two tiers of participation: a VIP level priced at $100 and a regular ticket level at $50.  VIP guests will be invited to arrive at 6pm to have an hour-long meet and greet with Jerome McDonnell, including a private tour of WBEZ by Nari Safavi at a later date.  Guests attending the event at the $50 level will be invited to join us at 7pm.  This event will be hosted by Rusalina Mincu at her home and garden in (1124 Forest Ave, Deerfield, IL 60015) and will include food and cocktails.  All proceeds will be used to fund the creation of this work and will allow Theatre Y to continue offering tickets to Chicago free of charge.
